I read through your reading lesson plan. I thought that having the students record their voice was a good way for them to check if they were reading fluently. When I was reading this I wondered how this lesson would have worked with VoiceThread. One nice thing with VoiceThread is that in a lab setting the students could record and preview their reading on their own. It may give students more practice and be more efficient for the instructor. However, that isn't always possible to do.
In one of your lesson plans it seemed that you only watched a video. There is nothing wrong with that but students learn best with technology if they are actively using it.
